Job summary

Saint Michael's Medical Center in Newark, NJ, part of Prime Healthcare, is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join a multidisciplinary team. You will provide quality imaging, support the Radiologist, and help with diagnostic procedures while ensuring images are processed and transmitted to PACS.

Required licensure and ARRT/NMTCB certification, with preferred radiology experience and ARRT-accredited training. BCLS certification and strong computer skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Current State Nuclear Medicine License issued by CDPH, ARRT or NMTCB certification required.
• One year of acute, clinical radiology experience preferred.
• At least one year of experience as a nuclear medicine technologist preferred.
• Knowledge of mobile and stationary Radiographic / Fluoroscopic equipment preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology required.
• Graduate of ARRT-accredited program.
• Current BCLS (AHA) required.
• Proficient computer skills.

Responsibilities

• The Nuclear Medicine Technologist works collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team and provides quality imaging.
• Supports Radiologist and assists in diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.

Responsibilities

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist works collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team and is responsible for providing quality imaging. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist works in support of the Radiologist, providing assistance in the performance of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Responsible for processing and transmission of Images to PACS.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING1. Current State Nuclear Medicine License issued by CDPH, A.R.R.T. or N.M.T.C.B. Certification in Nuclear Medicine Technology required.2. One year of acute, clinical radiology experience is preferred.3. At least one year of experience as a nuclear medicine technologist preferred4. Knowledge of mobile and stationary Radiographic / Fluoroscopic equipment preferred.5. Extensive knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology is required.6. Graduate of a program accredited by ARRT.7. Current BCLS (AHA) required.8. Proficient computer skills.

Benefits may vary based on collective bargaining agreement requirements and/or the employment status, i.e. full-time or part-time. The current compensation range for this role is $39.87 to $44.58. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
