Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology from an accredited program.
  • PET/CT and SPECT experience—REQUIRED.
  • ARRT(N) certification eligibility and NMTCB eligibility; Florida licensure.
  • BLS/CPR certification as required by employer.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic nuclear medicine procedures.
  • Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals.
  • Operate imaging equipment to obtain diagnostic images.
  • Ensure patient safety throughout the examination.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and quality imaging.

Job description

Are you a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist looking for your next career opportunity? We are seeking an experienced NMT to join a healthcare team in Jacksonville, Florida.

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist will be responsible for performing diagnostic nuclear medicine procedures, preparing and administering radiopharmaceuticals, operating imaging equipment, obtaining high-quality diagnostic images, and ensuring patient safety throughout the examination.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, attention to detail, excellent patient-care abilities, and experience working with PET/CT and SPECT technology.

  • Associate degree or equivalent education in Nuclear Medicine Technology from an accredited program.
  • Previous experience working as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
  • PET/CT experience — REQUIRED.
  • SPECT experience — REQUIRED.
  • Strong knowledge of nuclear medicine procedures and radiopharmaceuticals.
  • Knowledge of radiation safety practices.
  • Excellent patient-care and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate documentation.

Candidates should meet applicable Florida and employer-specific licensing and certification requirements.

Commonly requested credentials may include:

  • ARRT(N) certification and/or eligibility, as applicable.
  • NMTCB certification and/or eligibility, as applicable.
  • Appropriate Florida state authorization/licensure where required.
  • BLS/CPR certification, if required by the employer.
