Job description

General SummaryPrepares and administers radiopharmaceuticals for use in both diagnostic studies therapeutic treatments. It creates and enhances diagnostic images using a variety of imaging equipment and tools. Collects biologic specimens and prepares data for interpretation by physicians. Follows radiation safety guidelines and documents radio pharmaceutical usage for regulatory compliance.Minimum QualificationsRequires a certification from the American Registry of Radiologic technologists (ARRT) or the nuclear medicine technology certification board (NMTCB) and a state license to practice.Workers closely managed works on projects slash matters of limited complexity in a support role typically requires zero to two years of related experience.Explain medical procedures to patients and answer any questions they may have.Follow safety procedures to protect the patients and themselves from unnecessary radiation exposure.Prepare and administer radioactive drugs to patients.Monitor and watch for any unusual reaction’s patients may have to drugs.Operate imaging equipment.Maintain detailed procedure records.Follow safety and disposal radiation procedures.Ability to use technologyAnalytical skillsCompassionDetail-orientedInterpersonal skillsPhysical staminaMust show the ability to maintain confidentiality, including strict adherence to HIPAA and UCA Guidelines.
