Reporting to the Nuclear Medicine Supervisor, the incumbent is responsible for performing a full range of in vivo and in vitro Nuclear Medicine procedures using radiopharmaceuticals and related chemicals. Responsibilities include providing quality patient care, ensuring timely throughput of patients, and performing their exams. Operates and performs quality control on stationary and portable scintillation equipment such as gamma cameras, Geiger-Mueller counters, well counters, dose calibration devices, and ancillary equipment. Performs PET, Nuc Med, and CT diagnostic studies on PET/CT scanners, including contrast media injection, image acquisition, and reformatting. Also responsible for scans and procedures for research trials, creating and programming study-specific protocols under supervision.
