Job summary

Rowan Medical Center, part of Novant Health, is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our acute care team. The role involves preparing patients and operating nuclear medicine equipment to capture diagnostic scans, supporting physicians in procedures, and contributing to patient care.

The position requires an Associate degree (preferred) and ARRT/NMTCB certification, with at least one year in nuclear medicine.

Qualifications

  • Education: 2 Year / Associate Degree, preferred; ARRT-approved or NMTCB-recognized Nuclear Medicine Program required.
  • Experience: Minimum of one year in nuclear medicine.
  • Licensure/Certification: ARRT-N or NMTCB-CNMT certification and state license.
  • Additional skills: ability to validate skills and competency; communicate well; work in diagnostic rooms.

What You’ll Do

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist I assists physicians in the performance of diagnostic and / or therapeutic procedures by preparing the patient and operating the nuclear medicine equipment in order to obtain diagnostic scans.

What We’re Looking For
  • Education: 2 Year / Associate Degree, preferred. Graduate of ARRT-approved or NMTCB-recognized Nuclear Medicine Program, required.
  • Experience: Minimum of one year of experience in nuclear medicine, required
  • Licensure/Certification: Certified and registered in Nuclear Medicine by ARRT or NMTCB – RT(N) or CNMT, required. Applicable state license, required.
  • Additional Skills (required): Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing; good communication skills; capable of functioning alone in diagnostic rooms; working knowledge of various types of nuclear medicine equipment, able to adapt to new and various situations and procedures according to age of patient served; has ability to interpret information to identify each patient’s requirements for care relative to his / her age‑specific needs.
