Job summary

Cardiovascular Consultants PA is seeking an experienced Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a full-time position in South Florida. The successful candidate will join a professional cardiology practice dedicated to high-quality patient care and efficient service.

Responsibilities include performing nuclear myocardial perfusion imaging and cardiac stress testing, operating imaging equipment, and ensuring patient safety.

Qualifications

• Current Nuclear Medicine Technologist certification and/or licensure as required.
• Previous experience in nuclear cardiology and myocardial perfusion imaging preferred/required.
• Knowledge of nuclear cardiology protocols and radiation safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform nuclear myocardial perfusion studies and cardiac stress testing.
• Prepare patients and explain procedures and safety instructions.
• Operate nuclear imaging equipment safely and efficiently.
• Administer radiopharmaceuticals in accordance with applicable regulations and physician orders.
• Monitor patients throughout stress testing and report any concerns to the cardiologist.
• Maintain accurate and complete documentation of nuclear procedures.
• Follow all radiation safety and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain and prepare equipment for daily use.

NUCLEAR MEDICINE TECHNOLOGIST

Full-Time Position – Cardiology Practice

Location: South Florida

Our established cardiology practice is seeking an experienced, dependable, and professional Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our clinical team on a full-time basis.

The technologist will perform nuclear myocardial perfusion imaging and cardiac stress testing in our outpatient cardiology practice.

Responsibilities

• Perform nuclear myocardial perfusion studies and cardiac stress testing.
• Prepare patients and explain procedures and safety instructions.
• Operate nuclear imaging equipment safely and efficiently.
• Administer radiopharmaceuticals in accordance with applicable regulations and physician orders.
• Monitor patients throughout stress testing and promptly report any concerns to the cardiologist.
• Perform imaging according to established protocols.
• Maintain accurate and complete documentation of nuclear procedures.
• Follow all radiation safety and regulatory requirements.
• Properly handle and dispose of radioactive materials.
• Maintain and prepare equipment for daily use.
• Work closely with cardiologists and clinical staff to maintain efficient patient flow.
• Assist with maintaining appropriate inventory of nuclear supplies and radiopharmaceuticals.

Qualifications

• Current Nuclear Medicine Technologist certification and/or licensure as required.
• Previous experience in nuclear cardiology and myocardial perfusion imaging preferred/required.
• Experience performing cardiac nuclear stress tests.
• Knowledge of Digirad equipment preferred.
• Knowledge of nuclear cardiology protocols and radiation safety procedures.
• Ability to work independently while functioning effectively as part of a clinical team.
• Excellent patient-care and communication skills.
• Professional, dependable, organized, and detail-oriented.
