Performs and assists with nuclear medicine studies. Is responsible for patient safety protocols. Maintains all federal, state, local and regulatory agency requirements. Participates in CQI activities. Qualifications: Nuclear Medicine Technologist • Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiology Sciences Program in Nuclear Medicine and completed required clinical hours • Experience: none • Certification: NMTCB or ARRT (N) OR Registry eligible (achieve registry within 2 months of eligibility); Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire • Licensure: State licensure may be required depending on the specific state of practice Advanced Nuclear Medicine Technologist • Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiology Sciences Program in Nuclear Medicine and completed required clinical hours • Experience: 1+ years of relevant experience • Certification: NMTCB or ARRT (N); Basic Life Support (BLS) • Licensure: State licensure may be required depending on the specific state of practice • Current Nuclear Medicine Technologists who are moving to Advanced Nuclear Medicine Technologist title on the career ladder must complete all required Nuclear Medicine Technologist competencies. Senior Nuclear Medicine Technologist • Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiology Sciences Program in Nuclear Medicine and completed required clinical hours • Experience: 2+ years of relevant experience • Certification: NMTCB or ARRT (N); Basic Life Support BLS; 1 advanced registry (NMTCB(PET), NMTCB(NCT), NMTCB(CT), NMTCB(RS)) • Licensure: State licensure may be required depending on the specific state of practice • Current Advanced Nuclear Medicine Technologists who are moving to Senior Nuclear Medicine Technologist title on the career ladder must complete all required Nuclear Medicine AND Advanced Nuclear Medicine Technologist competencies.
