  • One year experience as a hospital staff Nuclear Medicine Technologist preferred.
  • Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine school required.

Job description

  • Facility: University Medical Center of El Paso
  • Schedule - Shift - Hours: Full Time - Rotating - M-F day/evening rotation

Performs a wide range of Nuclear Medicine procedures on patients of varying ages, completing all associated tasks and responsibilities necessary to manage patient care needs while the patient is in the Department for procedures. Assists in the development and monitoring of department-specific systems and in the coordination of activities that improve the quality of patient care in the Nuclear Medicine Department.

Required Skills:

  1. Possesses critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  2. Possesses effective oral and written communication skills.
  3. Possesses effective interpersonal relationship skills.
  4. Technically competent in tasks within the scope of practice of a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
  5. Ability to utilize computers for documentation purposes.
  6. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
  7. Ability to read and comprehend English at a level necessary to follow written and oral instructions and safety precautions.

Required Experience:

A. Work Experience:
One year experience as a hospital staff Nuclear Medicine Technologist preferred.

B. License/Registration/Certification:
1. N.M.T.C.B. certification or registration ARRT (N).
2. Texas Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist, M.R.T.
3. Current CPR Training Program.

C. Education and Training:
Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine school.
