Job summary

Emerson Hospital is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist responsible for providing direct patient care during nuclear medicine procedures. Ideal candidates will possess an Associate's degree or a certificate in Nuclear Medicine, relevant licensure, and strong technical skills to ensure compliance with state guidelines. Experience is preferred but not mandatory, with opportunities for further certification offered within the first year of hire.

Qualifications

  • Current licensure as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist in Massachusetts required.
  • BLS healthcare provider certification required.
  • Current registration as R.T.(N)(ARRT) or CNMT required within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct care to patients undergoing nuclear medicine procedures.
  • Function within a Nuclear Medicine department following radiation guidelines.

Skills

Knowledge of state radiation guidelines
IV skills
Computer proficiency (PACS, HIS/RIS)
Ability to maintain confidential information

Education

Associates degree in Science or certificate in Nuclear Medicine

Job description

Reporting to the Section Leader of Nuclear Medicine, provides direct care to patients undergoing nuclear medicine procedures.

Minimum Qualifications Education: Associates degree in Science or certificate degree in Nuclear Medicine from an accredited school required.

Experience: Minimum of one year experience in Nuclear Medicine preferred. Licensure and/or Certification: Current licensure as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts required. BLS healthcare provider required. Current registration as R.T.(N)(ARRT) or CNMT required within 1 year of hire. Employees hired prior to January 1, 2009 are grandfathered from this requirement.

Skills: Must have knowledge of state radiation guidelines necessary to function within a Nuclear Medicine department. Must have IV skills and proficiency. Must be computer proficient, including PACS and HIS/RIS. Ability to maintain confidential information required.
