South of Broad Healthcare (SOBH) is expanding access to high-quality, community-based healthcare throughout southern Beaufort County and the surrounding Lowcountry. Grounded by a mission of delivering compassionate, patient-centered care, SOBH supports strategic growth designed to bring essential healthcare services closer to the people and communities we serve. At the center of SOBH is Bluffton Community Hospital, a new 28 bed, full-service hospital. Approximately 90,000 square foot facility will include a 24/7 emergency department, an acute inpatient nursing unit, surgical and endoscopy suites, a cardiac catheterization lab, advanced imaging, laboratory services, and additional outpatient capabilities. The hospital is scheduled for completion in late 2026, with patient care anticipated to being early 2027.

Performs for the community high quality nuclear medicine procedures in a timely and professional manner by using diagnostic imaging techniques to detect and map radioactive drugs in the human body. Responsibilities for complete patient throughput include, but are not limited to, scheduling, film/file management, procedures, supply inventory, general housekeeping, patient transport, documentation, and communication with family, physicians and involved ancillary staff. Participates in department Quality Improvement activities and equipment quality control plans. Adheres to Corporate Compliance initiatives, including proper coding, use of the charge master, and performance of Medical Necessity Checks. Performs in a manner consistent with the mission, vision and values of Beaufort Memorial Hospital. Maintains high professional and ethical standards as evidenced by successful completion of core competencies, clinical competencies, and behavior standards. Generally works under the direct supervision of the Imaging Supervisor, however, may work independently as required. Assumes responsibility for call and holiday coverage as needed. Additionally, dependent upon patient volumes and the needs of the Organization, employee may work varying shifts and/or assume these job duties at alternate sites witin the healthcare system. Understanding that healthcare delivery is continually evolving, and departmental needs and goals are subject to change, responsibilities may be expanded or restricted at the discretion of the Department Director.
