Qualifications

  • Registered in Nuclear Medicine with the ARRT or NMTCB.
  • Minimum two years of experience required.
  • BLS Certification required in accordance with AHA.

General Nuc Med focus but PET experience preferred

Shift: Mon - Fri 7a-3:30p or 8a-4:30p, call required

Location: Emory University Hospital

  • Provides quality care to the patients receiving diagnostic and interventional radiology procedures. Assumes responsibility and provides direct quality care for patients receiving Nuclear Medicine and PET exams.
  • Responsible for proper operation of imaging and specialty equipment as well as keeps abreast of uses of medical devices.
  • Explains procedures to patients to reduce their anxiety and obtain patient cooperation.
  • Assists with patient/family education.
  • Performs efficiently in emergency situations.
  • Prepares, measures and administers radiopharmaceuticals in diagnostic procedures.
  • Responsible for acquiring, processing and photographing optimum exams for diagnostic interpretation.
  • May support or assist in research and related activities.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Nuclear Medicine Technology, be registered in Nuclear Medicine with the ARRT or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB).
  • Must have a minimum of two (2) years experience.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification in accordance with the American Heart Association required.
