Qualifications

Description

  • Provides quality care to patients receiving diagnostic and interventional radiology procedures.
  • Assumes responsibility and provides direct quality care for patients receiving Nuclear Medicine and PET exams.
  • Responsible for proper operation of imaging and specialty equipment, and stays updated on medical device uses.
  • Explains procedures to patients to reduce anxiety and obtain cooperation.
  • Assists with patient and family education.
  • Performs efficiently in emergency situations.
  • Prepares, measures, and administers radiopharmaceuticals in diagnostic procedures.
  • Responsible for acquiring, processing, and photographing optimal exams for diagnostic interpretation.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Nuclear Medicine Technology, registered in Nuclear Medicine with ARRT or NMTCB.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification in accordance with the American Heart Association.
