Job summary

North Alabama Medical Center in Florence, AL, is seeking a Nuclear Medical Technologist to administer radiopharmaceuticals and perform diagnostic studies as directed by physicians. The role supports high-quality imaging and patient care within the Radiology Department.

Requirements include an Associate's Degree in Nuclear Medicine, NMTCB certification if not grandfathered by the state, and Basic Life Support (BLS). This full-time on-site position reports to the Radiology Supervisor.

  • Provides images, data analysis and patient information for diagnostic interpretation or therapeutic procedures.
  • Evaluates images to determine the technical quality and calibration of instrumentation.
  • Processes the images for radiologist review.

Position Summary

Prepares and administers radiopharmaceuticals as well as other medications to patients and performs the diagnostic study per physician orders.

Radiology Supervisor

FLSA Status

Non-exempt

Education

Associate's Degree Required; Graduate of a Program Discipline in Nuclear Medicine Required; Bachelor's Degree Preferred

Licenses

Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist by NMTCB if not grandfathered by the state.

Certifications

Basic Life Support (BLS)
