Job summary

A healthcare staffing agency is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist in New York City. The role involves engaging with patients, managing imaging procedures, and requires NMTCB Certification. Ideal candidates will have an Associate Degree and previous experience in nuclear technology, working Monday to Friday from 8 am to 4 pm.

• BCLS certification is required.

• Engages in patient and family education; initiates and maintains quality patient care throughout the procedure; considers patients’ comfort and emotional needs.
• Responsible for dose administration and calculations, performs QC procedures, and has thorough knowledge and understanding of imaging technologies employed, including theory of operation and rationale for QC procedures performed.
• Performs assigned imaging procedures and prepares results for interpretations, including labeling, formatting, and associated paperwork.
• Recognizes malfunctioning equipment and performs minor troubleshooting, performs computer processing and acquired imaging procedures; resolves minor technical problems related to image quality and quantitative results.
• Archives and retrieves data as assigned, including labeling, formatting, and associated paperwork.

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

• Associate Degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 1 year experience as a Nuclear Tech.
• NMTCB Certification in Nuclear Medicine and Post Secondary Certification in Computed Tomography.
• BCLS certification – Required.

Additional:

• Monday through Friday, 8 am to 4 pm.
