Job summary

Trinity Health in Hartford, CT is seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technician to operate cameras that map radioactive drugs and produce diagnostic images. You will position patients, select factors, and administer radiopharmaceuticals following protocols.

Shift is 06:00-14:30, Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week. Applicants should have at least 2 years of experience and be committed to safety and high-quality image documentation for PACS.

• 2 years experience as a nuclear medicine technologist.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and operate cameras that detect and map radioactive drugs to create diagnostic images.
• Position patients and select anatomic and technical factors accurately.
• Order, prepare, administer, and dispose of radiopharmaceuticals according to established protocols.
• Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
• Ensure prompt submission of high-quality images and documents to PACS with correct lead markers and patient data/history.
• Ensure equipment is properly functioning and report potential problems.
• Lock/tag out equipment if appropriate.
• Assist in maintaining a clean, and orderly department.
