Job summary
Medical City Dallas is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist on a PRN basis to perform Nuclear Medicine and PET procedures. The role requires expertise in radiopharmaceutical administration and operating Nuclear Medicine cameras, with strong focus on patient safety and diagnostic quality.
The position supports per-diem scheduling, with eligibility for comprehensive benefits and professional growth opportunities within HCA Healthcare.
Qualifications
- BCLS required for all staff.
- ACLS must be completed within 6 months of hire.
- State Registered Radiologic Technician.
- NMTCB or NMT certification; NMTCB PET preferred.
Responsibilities
- Under the guidance of a Nuclear Medicine Physician, the Nuclear Medicine/P.E.T Technologist performs general radiographic procedures.
- Uses isotopes for radiographic diagnosis with a high degree of independence.
- Performs tests in-patients and out-patients.
- Operates Nuclear Medicine cameras and varied equipment.
- Administers pharmaceuticals and radiopharmaceuticals per Nuclear Medicine Scope of Practice.
- Demonstrates commitment to radiation safety.
