Overview

Nuclear Medicine Tech is under minimal supervision, performs basic Nuclear Medicine procedures as requested by a licensed physician. Exercises professional judgment in providing healthcare services to assist in diagnosis or treatment of patients in all age groups from newborn to elderly. Completes established competencies for the position within the designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Education

Graduate of an accredited school of Nuclear Medicine

Minimum Experience

2-5 years in Diagnostic Nuclear Medicine

Required Certifications/Licensure

• Current registry or registry-eligible with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Nuclear Medicine, or the CNMT
• Current Texas Medical Board (TMB) license

Required Courses/Completions

• Active healthcare provider Basic Life Support on hire (ARC or AHA); must have AHA Healthcare Provider BLS within 60 days of hire
