Job summary
Prime Healthcare is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for Providence Medical Center – Kansas City, KS on a per diem basis. The role involves diagnostic imaging and therapeutic procedures using radioactive materials with day shifts and no weekends.
Responsibilities include radiopharmaceutical preparation, administration, imaging with SPECT, and strict adherence to radiation safety protocols. Required licenses and ARRT/NMTCB certifications apply, with preferred radiology experience and BCLS
Qualifications
- Current state license issued by CDPH/ARRT/NMTCB.
- Certification in Nuclear Medicine Technology required.
- Graduate of an ARRT-accredited program.
- BCLS (AHA) current required.
- Knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology.
- Proficient computer skills.
- One year acute, clinical radiology experience preferred.
- At least one year experience as a nuclear medicine technologist preferred.
Responsibilities
- Prepare radiopharmaceuticals for administration to patients and measure doses.
- Administer radiopharmaceuticals via IV, oral, or inhalation routes.
- Perform imaging studies using nuclear medicine equipment including SPECT.
- Operate imaging cameras and detectors to capture tracer images.
- Follow strict radiation safety, storage, and disposal protocols.
