Job summary

Baystate Health in Springfield, MA is seeking a Nuclear Medical Technologist (Nuc Med Tech) to join the Noninvasive Stress Testing team. This per diem role supports a per diem schedule with flexible shifts and a focus on imaging expertise across general nuclear medicine, cardiac, and therapeutic procedures.

The position requires NMTCB or ARRT certification, BLS, and completion of an Arrhythmia class, with preferred experience in nuclear medicine.

Qualifications

• Completion of Arrhythmia class
• NMTCB or ARRT certification required
• Basic Life Support certification required

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide variety of general nuclear medicine, cardiac, and therapeutic procedures according to department policies
• Proficiently perform, understand, and process all nuclear medicine procedures across all ages and demographics
• Demonstrate ability to identify potential problems and direct issues to appropriate personnel
• Perform hot lab duties including kit prep, wipe testing, dosage assays, room surveying, logging radioactive materials, waste monitoring and disposal
• Mentor and guide enrolled students in accordance with departmental guidelines
• Display effective communication with physicians, radiologists, nursing staff, and others; maintain compassionate professional demeanor
