Job summary

The role requires 1 year of nuclear medicine experience, active NMTCB/ARRT credentials (or ARRT Radiography cross-training with eligible status), and BLS certification within 90 days.

Qualifications

  • 1 year experience in nuclear medicine or related field
  • Licenses/certifications required: NMTCB or ARRT Nuclear Medicine; Radiography cross-training within 6 months; Kansas LRT license or eligibility; BLS within 90 days of hire

Responsibilities

  • Prepare stock solutions of radiopharmaceuticals and administer doses under physician direction
  • Calibrate equipment and perform diagnostic studies using scanners to detect radiation
  • Measure radioactivity with Geiger counters and scintillation detectors
  • Administer therapeutic doses under physician direction and follow radiation safety practices
  • Provide timely patient care and maintain patient confidentiality
  • Demonstrate cost-conscious use of equipment, time and supplies
  • Maintain ongoing professional development and CEU credits
