Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for the Wisconsin site in Sheboygan County. The role involves performing general nuclear medicine and cardiac imaging, with opportunities for therapeutic procedures and strong patient care collaboration.

The position requires a Bachelor's in Nuclear Medicine, ARRT CNMT or NMTCB certification, and timely BLS. In this role you will be part of a team focused on quality care, safety and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) in Nuclear Medicine.
• ARRT Nuclear Medicine Tech registration within 1 year or CNMT NMTCB certification.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification within 6 months.
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology and radiation safety.
• Excellent communication and patient service skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Intermediate computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic to intermediate nuclear medicine diagnostic and therapeutic procedures including general and cardiac.
• Reviews patient history, lab results and physician orders for exam accuracy.
• Prepares and administers radiopharmaceuticals; performs venipuncture and IV placement as needed.
• Relays relevant patient history to appropriate staff.
• Post-processes images and labels them correctly with patient identifiers.
• Maintains records in RIS and documents billing codes.
• Identifies equipment issues and performs QA and calibration.
• Performs patient positioning and transporting duties with proper technique.
• Adheres to age-specific patient care requirements.
