Job summary

Medical City Dallas is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technician to join our radiology team. You will perform radiopharmaceutical administration, PET imaging, and a range of nuclear medicine procedures under supervision, ensuring high-quality patient care and safety.

We require NMTCB or NMT certification, Texas MRT license, ARRT(NM) or NMTCB certification, and current BLS. Cross-training pathways exist within our program and ongoing professional development is supported.

Qualifications

• Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB) or Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT).
• MRT State of Texas license.
• ARRT(NM) or NMTCB Certification.
• NMTCB PET Certification preferred.
• Current AHA or ARC BLS provider.

Responsibilities

• Under the guidance of a Nuclear Medicine Physician, the Nuclear Medicine/P.E.T Technologist performs general radiographic procedures.
• Performs tests in-patients and out-patients.
• Utilizes Nuclear Medicine cameras and varied equipment.
• Administers radiopharmaceuticals as outlined in Nuclear Medicine Scope of Practice.
• Demonstrates commitment to radiation safety.

Job Summary And Qualifications

• Under the guidance of a Nuclear Medicine Physician, the Nuclear Medicine/P.E.T Technologist accomplishes one or a combination of several general radiographic procedures


• Performs at a technical level requiring a high degree of independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative to apply isotopes for radiographic diagnosis


• Performs test in-patients and out-patients


• Utilizes a variety of Nuclear Medicine cameras and varied equipment


• Administers pharmaceuticals and radiopharmaceuticals as outlined in Nuclear Medicine Scope of Practice


• Demonstrates industry in radiation safety

What Qualifications You Will Need

• Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB), or Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT)


• MRT State of Texas


• ARRT(NM) or NMTCB Certification


• NMTCB PET Certification preferred


• Current AHA or ARC BLS provider.


• If current employee participating in a cross-training program, all training will be completed under direct supervision of registered technologist. Certification in alternate modality is required within 6 months of completion of training.
