Job summary

Medical City Dallas is seeking a qualified Nuclear Medicine Technician to join the Nuclear Medicine/P.E.T team.

Under supervision of a Nuclear Medicine Physician, you will perform radiographic procedures using isotopes, administer radiopharmaceuticals and ensure radiation safety, serving in a state-licensed environment.

This role requires NMTCB/NMT credentials, Texas MRT license, ARRT(NM) or NMTCB certification, and BLS; PET certification is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Certified NM technologist with NMTCB or NMT credentials.
  • Texas MRT license is required.
  • ARRT(NM) or NMTCB certification is required.
  • NMTCB PET certification is preferred.
  • Current BLS provider (AHA/ARC) required.
  • If cross-training is in progress, completion under supervision within 6 months.

Responsibilities

  • Under guidance of a Nuclear Medicine Physician, the Nuclear Medicine/P.E.T Technologist accomplishes general radiographic procedures.
  • Performs at a technical level requiring independent judgment, using isotopes for radiographic diagnosis.
  • Performs tests in-patients and out-patients.
  • Utilizes Nuclear Medicine cameras and varied equipment.
  • Administers radiopharmaceuticals as outlined in Nuclear Medicine Scope of Practice.
  • Demonstrates commitment to radiation safety.

Job Summary And Qualifications
  • Under the guidance of a Nuclear Medicine Physician, the Nuclear Medicine/P.E.T Technologist accomplishes one or a combination of several general radiographic procedures
  • Performs at a technical level requiring a high degree of independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative to apply isotopes for radiographic diagnosis
  • Performs test in-patients and out-patients
  • Utilizes a variety of Nuclear Medicine cameras and varied equipment
  • Administers pharmaceuticals and radiopharmaceuticals as outlined in Nuclear Medicine Scope of Practice
  • Demonstrates industry in radiation safety
What Qualifications You Will Need
  • Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB), or Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT)
  • MRT State of Texas
  • ARRT(NM) or NMTCB Certification
  • NMTCB PET Certification preferred
  • Current AHA or ARC BLS provider.
  • If current employee participating in a cross‑training program, all training will be completed under direct supervision of registered technologist. Certification in alternate modality is required within 6 months of completion of training.
