Job summary

Medical City Dallas is seeking a qualified Nuclear Medicine Technician to perform radiographic procedures and administer radiopharmaceuticals under supervision of a Nuclear Medicine Physician. The role requires proficiency with Nuclear Medicine cameras and a strong commitment to radiation safety.

Candidates should hold NMTCB/ARRT NM certification and MRT Texas licensure, with BLS current. PET certification is preferred; cross-training may be required, with supervision during training.

Qualifications

• Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist or NMTCB/ARRT NM certification.
• State licensure in Texas (MRT).
• NMTCB PET certification preferred.
• Current BLS provider (AHA/ARC).
• Cross-training supervision requirements if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Under the guidance of a Nuclear Medicine Physician, perform general radiographic procedures.
• Apply isotopes for radiographic diagnosis with appropriate independence.
• Perform tests on in-patients and out-patients.
• Utilize Nuclear Medicine cameras and varied equipment.

Job Summary And Qualifications

• Under the guidance of a Nuclear Medicine Physician, the Nuclear Medicine/P.E.T Technologist accomplishes one or a combination of several general radiographic procedures
• Performs at a technical level requiring a high degree of independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative to apply isotopes for radiographic diagnosis
• Performs test in-patients and out-patients
• Utilizes a variety of Nuclear Medicine cameras and varied equipment
• Administers pharmaceuticals and radiopharmaceuticals as outlined in Nuclear Medicine Scope of Practice
• Demonstrates industry in radiation safety

What Qualifications You Will Need

• Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB), or Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT)
• MRT State of Texas
• ARRT(NM) or NMTCB Certification
• NMTCB PET Certification preferred
• Current AHA or ARC BLS provider.
• If current employee participating in a cross-training program, all training will be completed under direct supervision of registered technologist. Certification in alternate modality is required within 6 months of completion of training.
