Position Overview

Fairview is hiring a Nuclear Medicine/PET/CT Spect/CT Technologist to join our Nuclear Med-Special Imaging department at the University of Minnesota Medical Center - East Bank, Minneapolis, MN. This full-time position (80 hours per 2 weeks) involves day shifts, weekend and call rotations, primarily working on the mobile PET/CT that travels to various facilities. It offers a sign-on bonus of up to $10,000.

Responsibilities
  • Verify physician’s order and ensure proper radiopharmaceutical administration.
  • Identify and prepare patients, explain procedures, and confirm identity.
  • Manage inventory and dispose of radioactive materials per regulations.
  • Perform quality control on equipment.
  • Administer radiopharmaceuticals and contrast media; perform PET/CT scans.
  • Perform procedures across all ages, ensuring quality and safety.
  • Monitor radiation areas and respond to spills or contamination.
  • Participate in 24-hour call duties and assist in coverage as needed.
Qualifications
  • Completion of accredited Nuclear Medicine Clinical Rotation and Board eligibility.
  • ARRT-N or CNMT certification or eligibility, with certification within 45 days.
  • BLS certification from Red Cross or AHA.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • 1+ years of experience.
  • CNMT and/or PET certification.
