A leading healthcare organization is seeking a part-time Nuclear Medicine Physician to provide teleradiology services. The role offers flexible scheduling and the opportunity to work remotely, focusing on general Nuclear Medicine and Nuclear Cardiology cases. Candidates must hold an MD or DO degree and be board certified in Nuclear Medicine.
We are seeking a highly qualified Nuclear Medicine Physician for part-time/locum to join our world-class team. The Nuclear Medicine Physician will provide teleradiology Nuclear Medicine services for inpatient and outpatient cases. The responsibility of the physician includes but is not limited to consultation/collaborating with the referring providers, communicating with the staff and patients, reviewing protocols, procedures, and exams, protocol in-patient NM orders as required, and interpretations of NM, Nuclear Cardiology, and PET/CT exams.
The willingness to occasionally work in-office for the supervision of NM Therapy, such as for hyperthyroidism or thyroid cancer, bone metastases, or prostate cancer is a plus but not required.
Why Join Us: You will have flexibility in your schedule and will be able to pick the days that you want to work in advance. You will be able to work remotely. You are expected to read mainly general NM and Nuclear Cardiology cases. PET/CT is optional. You will be paid at a competitive daily rate for a general NM physician.
Facilities and Resources: Our service currently consists of a single SPECT NM camera in the hospital setting. We will be adding an outpatient PET/CT service and upgrading to a SPECT/CT NM camera in the near future.
Work Schedule: Some flexibility allowed. Typically, 2 or 3 days during the weekday, Monday through Friday (8:30 a.m.- 5:30p.m.), occasionally may need to work earlier or later. No weekends.
Pay: Competitive daily/hourly rate. Annual performance bonus.
Malpractice: Free liability protection with tail coverage provided
Contract: 1099-independent contractor position

U.S. Citizenship or permanent resident or full employment authorization in USA.
MD or DO degree.
Board certified or eligible by the American Board of Nuclear Medicine or the American Board of Radiology with subspecialty certification in Nuclear Radiology.
California Medical license MD/DO - full and unrestricted license.
Must be proficient in written and spoken English.
