Job summary

Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa, OK, is seeking a day shift, full-time Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our imaging team. This role focuses on coordinating radiopharmaceuticals, administering radiopharmaceuticals for imaging and therapeutic procedures, and delivering high-quality scans while explaining procedures to patients.

Ideal candidates will be ARRT/NMTCB certified or registry eligible, with BLS training within 14 days of hire and a commitment to safety and patient care.

Qualifications

• ARRT/NMTCB certification or registry eligibility
• BLS certification within 14 days of hire
• Experience operating imaging systems a plus

Responsibilities

• Coordinate radiopharmaceuticals for patient procedures.
• Administer radiopharmaceuticals and medications for imaging and therapeutic procedures.
• Explain imaging procedures to patients.
• Maintain high imaging and positioning standards for quality scans.
• Operate the PACS system.
• Contribute to department performance improvement initiatives.
• Assist with other department operations as needed.

A Day in the Life of a Nuclear Medicine Technologist:

• Coordinate radiopharmaceuticals for patient procedures.
• Administer radiopharmaceuticals and medications for patient imaging and therapeutic procedures
• Explain the imaging procedure to patients
• Must maintain a high standard of imaging and positioning to acquire a quality scan.
• Proficient at operating the PACS Computer System.
• Participate in performance improvement initiatives.
• Assist with other activities as deemed necessary for the operation of the department.

Job Requirements

• Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (A.R.R.T.) with advanced certification in Nuclear Medicine or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (N.M.T.C.B.) or be a graduate of an approved School of Nuclear Medicine Technology and be registry eligible.
  • If registry eligible upon hire, you must become registered within one year of employment and maintain registry while employed.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
