Job summary

Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa, OK is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for day shift, full-time.

You will coordinate radiopharmaceuticals, administer imaging procedures, and operate the PACS computer system. The role is expected to split about 50/50 between Nuclear Medicine and PET work, with a focus on maintaining high-quality scans and patient care.

Qualifications

  • Must be ARRT (N) with advanced certification in Nuclear Medicine or NMTCB, or graduate of an approved School of Nuclear Medicine Technology and registry eligible.
  • If registry eligible upon hire, must become registered within one year and maintain registry while employed.
  • BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate radiopharmaceuticals for patient procedures.
  • Administer radiopharmaceuticals and medications for patient imaging and therapeutic procedures.
  • Explain the imaging procedure to patients.
  • Maintain a high standard of imaging and positioning to acquire a quality scan.
  • Proficiently operate the PACS computer system.
  • Participate in performance improvement initiatives.
  • Assist with other department activities as needed.
  • Position will likely be 50% Nuclear Medicine and 50% PET.

A Day in the Life of a Nuclear Medicine Technologist:


  • Coordinate radiopharmaceuticals for patient procedures.

  • Administer radiopharmaceuticals and medications for patient imaging andtherapeuticprocedures

Job Requirements:



  • Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (A.R.R.T.) with advanced certification in Nuclear Medicine or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (N.M.T.C.B.) or be a graduate of an approved School of Nuclear Medicine Technology and be registry eligible.

  • If registry eligible upon hire, you must become registered within one year of employment and maintain registry while employed.

  • BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
