Job Summary

Performs Nuclear Medicine and PET procedures according to established protocols and standards, supporting Virtua's mission and values while adhering to policies and safety regulations.

Responsibilities
  1. Operate Nuclear Medicine and PET equipment to perform high-quality studies as per protocols.
  2. Perform venipuncture and administer radioisotopes following established procedures.
  3. Prepare patients for procedures, ensuring safety and comfort.
  4. Conduct quality control tests, calibrate equipment, and report discrepancies.
  5. Handle radiopharmaceuticals safely, using protective devices and aseptic techniques.
  6. Utilize hospital computer systems effectively, maintaining confidentiality and accurate documentation.
  7. Respond to schedule changes, cover shifts, and respond to on-call requests promptly.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 1 year experience in Nuclear Medicine; PET experience preferred.
  • Graduate of AMA-approved Radiology or Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
  • Current NJ license in Fusion Imaging CT with appropriate certifications (CNMT, NMTCB(CT), ARRT(R) and N).
  • CPR certification.
