Job summary

Midstate Radiology Associates, LLC seeks a Lead Nuclear Medicine Technologist at MidState Medical Center in Meriden, CT. The role oversees daily NM department operations, performs imaging, and ensures compliance with NRC, TJC, and SNMMI guidelines.

You will serve as a clinical resource, mentor staff, and coordinate workflow while maintaining high-quality diagnostic imaging and patient care standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of a JRCNMT accredited nuclear medicine technology program.
• Certification through NMTCB or ARRT (N).
• CPR certification.
• Maintenance of continuing education credits as required by licensure.
• Associates or AS degree in related field desirable.
• At least three years of Nuclear Medicine experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and administer radioactive agents per established procedures.
• Assess exam appropriateness using guidelines for accurate first-time imaging.
• Operate nuclear imaging equipment to provide diagnostic images for radiologists.
• Perform quality control tests on imaging equipment and radiopharmaceuticals.
• Maintain NRC-compliant radiation safety practices and waste disposal guidelines.
• Coordinate daily staff assignments and department coverage.
