Job summary

Qualifications

• Ability to operate and troubleshoot Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT equipment, and to follow departmental protocols and quality assurance standards.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with patients, families, and multidisciplinary care teams.
• Detail-oriented documentation skills and familiarity with electronic health record systems and imaging software.
• Current ARRT(N) or NMTCB certification (or eligibility) and BLS certification.

Role Description

The Nuclear Medicine and PET Tech is a full-time, on-site role based in Tulsa, OK. This role is responsible for preparing and administering radiopharmaceuticals, performing Nuclear Medicine and PET imaging procedures, and ensuring accurate image acquisition according to established protocols. The tech collaborates with physicians, nurses, and other care team members to explain procedures to patients, monitor patient safety, and document all exams in the appropriate systems. Daily tasks include maintaining imaging equipment, adhering to radiation safety and infection control standards, verifying patient identification and orders, and assisting with quality assurance activities. The role also involves managing workflow, prioritizing STAT and scheduled studies, and supporting a positive patient experience through clear communication and professional conduct.

Qualifications

• Competence in Nuclear Medicine and PET imaging procedures, including radiopharmaceutical preparation, administration, and image acquisition.
• Strong understanding of radiation safety principles, regulatory guidelines, and infection control practices in a clinical environment.

• Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program; ARRT(N) or NMTCB certification (or eligibility) preferred or required per state regulations.
• Current BLS certification
• Ability to stand for extended periods, safely move patients and equipment, and work flexible shifts as needed.
