Job summary

LE01 Valley Children's Hospital is seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform a variety of Nuclear Medicine procedures. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of experience in Nuclear Medicine, with pediatric experience preferred.

The position requires maintaining compliance with safety and quality standards while also preparing radiopharmaceuticals for administration. Competitive compensation ranges from $50.30 to $78.50 per hour.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Competently performs standard, specialty and complex Nuclear Medicine procedures with little or no supervision, utilizing radiopharmaceuticals with accuracy, producing quality studies under a variety of conditions.
• Prepares radiopharmaceuticals for administration to the patient. Performs venipuncture and catheterization duties as needed.
• Maintains sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology and Nuclear Medicine principles.
• Performs quality control procedures to ensure federal, state, and departmental standards/requirements are met.
• Assists in monitoring the daily quality assurance of the unit, ensuring equipment operates according to manufacturer specifications.
• Assists in identifying and resolving work process issues within the department.
• Applies the profession's code of ethics in all aspects of practice.
• Maintains knowledge of, observes, and enforces safety measures in Environment of Care.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma (required); Program Graduate of a formal program in Nuclear Medicine (required) or Formal training in Nuclear Medicine (required); Associates Degree (preferred); Bachelors Degree (preferred).
• Licenses and Certifications: BLS - Basic Life Support - AHA - American Heart Association (required); NMT - Nuclear Medicine Technologist - CDPH (required); CNMT - Certified Nuclear Med Technologist - NMTCB (preferred); RT-N - Rad Tech Nuclear Medicine Technology - ARRT (preferred).
• Work Experience: Minimum three (3) years Nuclear Medicine (required); Pediatric experience (preferred).
