Virginia Mason Franciscan Health is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform diagnostic radionuclide imaging and radiopharmaceutical procedures with exceptional accuracy and patient care. The ideal candidate will have current certification, strong technical skills, and a thorough understanding of radiation safety.

Qualifications

• Current certification in Nuclear Medicine Technology or eligible for certification.
• Basic Life Support (CPR) required, at hire.
• Licensure as Medical Radiographer in WA or equivalent preferred.
• Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) or Registered Technologist Nuclear Medicine Technology on hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and calibrate imaging equipment and administer radiopharmaceuticals for nuclear medicine procedures.
• Prepare patients, explain procedures, and provide basic patient care, including emergencies.
• Perform nuclear medicine procedures using appropriate equipment and internal protocols to optimize diagnostic information.
• Maintain comprehensive records including patient charts, administered doses, and regulatory logs.
• Manage radioactive materials and waste according to safety protocols, including storage and disposal.
• Assist with general office duties, inventory, ordering, and record-keeping.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

1. As our Nuclear Med Tech, you will be a specialized healthcare professional, vital in providing diagnostic and therapeutic services through the precise application of radionuclides.
2. Every day, you will expertly perform Nuclear Medicine procedures, utilizing radionuclides to produce high-quality images and data for licensed practitioners. You'll ensure appropriate patient care, recognize conditions essential for successful procedures, administer radiopharmaceuticals, operate equipment, and adhere to strict radiation safety.
