Southcoast Health in New Bedford, MA is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technician for per diem daytime shifts at St. Luke's Hospital.
You will perform diversified clinical patient care within the radiology team, prepare radiopharmaceuticals, and educate patients for exams. Under supervision of the Radiology Clinical Services manager, you will select imaging equipment, document data in the EHR, apply ALARA principles, and assist physicians during procedures.

Shift: Day shift, 6:30am - 3:00pm, 7:00am - 3:30pm, 7:30am - 4:00pm

Under the general supervision and direction of the Manager, Radiology Clinical Services or designee, perform diversified clinical patient care, technical and related duties within assigned modality as part of an interdisciplinary care team. Assume responsibility for each assigned patient, perform patient assessments, and correlate clinical findings with exam/procedure request. Obtain pertinent information from patient\'s chart and document all data within the EHR. Educate patient for exam. Position patient and select appropriate imaging equipment and supplies. Identify, prepare and/or administer pharmaceuticals and radiopharmaceuticals related to the exam/procedure. Select technical factors/ parameters/sequences to produce quality images. Properly identify anatomy and evaluate images for technical quality. Apply the principles of ALARA to minimize exposure to patient, self and others and aware of MR safety practices. Assist physicians in performing procedures. Maintain the committed Per Diem requirements.
Pay Range
USD $40.83 - USD $63.63 /Hr.
