An established industry player in healthcare is seeking a dedicated professional to perform vital stress tests and assist in cardiology procedures. Performs exercise and pharmacologic stress tests for nuclear cardiology procedures. Works with and around radioactive materials. Administers medications as prescribed and under the supervision of a physician. These medications include, but are not limited to, adenosine, Dobutamine, regadenoson, atropine, aminophylline, nitroglycerine, metoclopramide, and sodium chloride.
Education: HS/GED required. College-level coursework in medical or science-related fields is preferred. Certification as a Cardiographic Technician (CCT), LPN, or EMT II is preferred. Healthcare Provider BCLS certification is required within 6 months of hire.
Experience: One-year experience in the cardiology field is preferred. Experience in 12-lead electrocardiograms and/or stress testing is preferred.
Additional Skills/Abilities: Ability to communicate effectively in English with individuals from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds. Strong interpersonal skills when working with various people and situations. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing schedules. Absolute integrity in the accurate performance and reporting of diagnostic procedures. Basic computer and keyboard skills are required. Must demonstrate a positive attitude, cheerfulness, and willingness to assist when communicating with the public.
