Job summary

The Skills Coalition in Pittsfield, MA is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform diverse NM procedures with independent judgment. Qualifications

• Minimum of student training in Nuclear Medicine.
• Ability to function independently in a high-stress environment.

Primary Function

• Perform a widevariety of technical Nuclear Medicine procedures, requiring independentjudgment and ingenuity
• Requires initiativeto apply appropriate Nuclear Medicine skills to facilitate a diagnosis
• May be assignedindependent responsibilities by Lead Technologist, Administrative Director, orOperations Manager
• Proper care ofthe client in accordance with the departmental and hospital policies andprocedures is required
• May beresponsible for assigned areas to assume responsibilities of supervision orinstruction to Nuclear Medicine personnel as determined by Operations Manageror Lead Technologist
• Practicesinfection control and body substance isolation in clinical practice incompliance with departmental and hospital policies and OSHA standards
• Maintains patientconfidentiality at all time
• Demonstratesproper operation of PACS, HIS and RIS computer systems
• Demonstratesability to operate and trouble shoot CR, DR and PACs applications
• Attends annualmandatory education to include blood borne pathogens, infection control, andbody substance isolation
• Maintainsdepartment competencies as required
• Scheduled hoursmay vary from 7:00am-3:30pm depending on need of department.
