Job summary

A healthcare provider in Dayton, Ohio, is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform nuclear medicine procedures and coordinate departmental activities. Candidates should possess an Associate degree in Allied Health and have the required certifications and licensure. Qualifications

• CPR Certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Nuclear Medicine registry required.
• ODH licensure required.
• ARRT RT (R) and/or NMTCB required.

Responsibilities

• Independently performs Nuclear Medicine procedures.
• Coordinates patient flow and activities of the Nuclear Medicine department.
• Maintains equipment in good working condition.
• May perform procedures in other imaging modalities as needed.

Knowledge in anatomy and physiology

Knowledge of Ohio Department of Health rules & regulations

Proficient in Electronic Medical Record (EMR)

Proficient in Radiology Information System (RIS) and Image Storage

Education

Job description

Independently performs Nuclear Medicine procedures utilizing proper techniques and administration of radiopharmaceuticals. Works under their scope of practice and in accordance with certificate/licensure in the administration of medications, operation of equipment, and venipuncture. Coordinates patient flow and the activities of the Nuclear Medicine department including radiation protection practices. Exercises professional judgment in the performance of his/her duties in order to maintain equipment in good working condition. May perform procedures in other imaging modalities based on departmental needs. May have on call responsibilities. May require working at multiple sites.

Education

Minimum Level of Education Required: Associate degree
