Job Summary and Qualifications
Minimum Education, Experience, and Certifications:
- Graduate of a Nuclear Medicine training program.
- At least 2 years experience as a nuclear medicine technologist in a hospital setting.
- Initial and ongoing training and competencies as defined by the service line and department.
Minimum Licenses, Certificates, or Registrations:
- One of the following:
- ARRT (R), ARRT (N), ARRT (T), or NMTCB.
- Medical Radiologic Technologist Certification from Texas Department of Health.
Essential Job Functions
- Supervise personnel, evaluate performance, motivate team, and foster a positive work environment.
- Lead meetings, encourage idea sharing, and build effective teams.
- Maintain inventory and equipment records, coordinate maintenance, and ensure uptime.
- Assess work situations broadly, communicate decisions impacting other sections, and analyze data for problem-solving.
- Use resources efficiently to meet productivity standards.
Additional Job Functions
- Handle radiopharmaceuticals and contrast agents as appropriate.
- Support Methodist Healthcare System's mission and demonstrate excellent customer service.
- Adhere to safety policies, report unsafe conditions, and comply with safety features.
- Follow the Code of Conduct and report violations.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
- Obtain BCLS certification within 30 days of employment.
- Graduate of Vocational School.
- Certification as a Medical Radiologic Technologist, Nuclear Medicine Technologist, or Registered Radiographer within 60 months of employment.
