Prepares and administers radiopharmaceuticals and other medications to patients, performing diagnostic studies according to physician orders.

Frye Regional Medical Center, located in the beautiful foothills of North Carolina, is a 355-bed acute care hospital, an 81-bed Behavioral Health facility, and hosts over 70 primary and specialty care providers.

Essential Functions
  1. Administers radiopharmaceuticals and medications for patient imaging and therapeutic procedures.
  2. Processes data and enhances digital images using advanced computer technology.
  3. Provides images, data analysis, and patient information for diagnostic interpretation or therapeutic procedures.
  4. Evaluates images to determine the technical quality and calibration of instrumentation.
  5. Processes images for radiologist review.

Minimum Education
  • Associate's degree required.
Licenses/Certifications
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Licenses: Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or ARRT certification, registered or eligible within one year of employment or transfer into the position.
