The role you’ll contribute:

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist will perform radiographic imaging procedures independently, handle, prepare, calculate dosages, and administer radionuclides and interventional medications under the supervision of an authorized user. Responsibilities include maintaining records per departmental and state standards, assisting the radiation safety officer, patient transportation, patient positioning for quality images, and assisting radiologists during procedures. Clerical duties and basic patient care within scope of practice are also required, along with adherence to compliance plans and regulatory standards.

  • Perform quality nuclear imaging exams using proper equipment and radiation protection practices, verifying prescriptions, and administering radionuclides as directed.
  • Maintain records according to departmental and legal requirements, including equipment QA and radiation safety documentation.
  • Manage radiopharmaceuticals and waste in compliance with regulations.
  • Verify image transmission into PACS and complete documentation for radiologist support.
  • Transport, lift, move, and position patients safely for exams, ensuring proper care and safety protocols.
Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

  • Associate’s degree from an accredited program
  • ARRT Nuclear Medicine Technology (N) and/or NMTCB certification
  • MRT in Nuclear Medicine
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited program
  • One-year experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
