Coral Gables Hospital is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform diagnostic nuclear scans and prepare films for interpretation under the direction of the Chief Technologist. The role requires Florida licensure, ARRT/NMTCB registration in good standing, and current BLS certification.
The successful candidate will operate modern Nuclear Medicine equipment, maintain department supplies, and handle related duties to ensure smooth patient care and accurate imaging results.
Under the direction of the Chief Technologist/Medical Director of Radiology performs nuclear scanning procedures for medical diagnosis and evaluation as ordered by the patient's attending physician. Develops and prepares film for interpretation, maintains supplies and equipment. Performs other related duties.
High School graduate. Completion of medically approved school of Nuclear Medicine Technology.
Current Florida Licensed as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
ARRT or NMTCB registered in good standing
Current BLS Certification
Excellent Customer Service Skills in order to project a positive image of the department and hospital.
Must have a good working knowledge of anatomy, understand principles of physics, methods of adjusting controls to obtain clearly defined films. Must be able to set up and operate all types of equipment that will be used in a modern Nuclear Medicine department. Must know how to process radiographs. Should have sufficient knowledge of psychology, patient care, and sterile technique to deal with all types of conditions of patients. One (1) year experience as Nuclear Medicine Technologist preferred.
