An established industry player is seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform specialized imaging exams. This role involves utilizing advanced equipment to provide critical diagnostic information while ensuring patient safety and compliance with regulations. • Performs routine and specialized nuclear and molecular imaging exams to include structural, functional and/or metabolic information in general Nuclear Medicine, SPECT and PET/CT. Utilize various equipment on all patient populations in inpatient and outpatient settings. Qualified to receive, dispose, prepare, measure and administer radioactive isotopes in compliance with State and Federal regulations for both diagnostic and therapeutic exams. Understands radiopharmacy. Demonstrates appropriate patient positioning, adjusts equipment controls, and optimizes dosing to ensure high-quality exams. Demonstrates effective radiation safety practices and assists the attending provider when necessary. Interacts with numerous computer programs and systems on a daily basis. The technologist may also perform various other duties as assigned by the Radiology Supervisor or Director of Diagnostic Imaging.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program
One year hospital experience preferred
Required Registration/License/Certification
Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) through the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) and/or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Registry in Nuclear Medicine Technology (N)
Licensed Radiologic Technologist (LRT) through Kansas State Board of Healing Arts (KSBHA)
Current eligible Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification or completion of eligible BLS Certification within first 90 days of employment
Schedule-Shift-Hours PRN - As Needed - Day Shift - Variable Hours on an as-needed basis
