Job summary

BWX Technologies, Inc. (BWXT) is seeking a Materials Procurement Engineer to interface with suppliers, develop procurement strategies, and ensure quality and compliance of subcontracted parts and assemblies in the Lynchburg, VA area.

You will collaborate with Design, Manufacturing, QA, and QC to analyze requirements, prepare technical orders, and lead internal teams during supplier work. A DOE/DOD clearance may be required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to provide clear, concise written and verbal communication including technical reports and presentations.
• Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills with internal/external stakeholders.
• Excellent teamwork and ability to build relationships with customers and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Interface with suppliers and develop procurement strategies.
