Job summary

Valar Atomics is seeking a Licensing Project Manager to oversee scope, schedule, and budget for licensing projects. You will work with licensing engineers, program owners, engineering, and operations to keep deliverables on track and on schedule.

The role requires coordinating regulator submittals, maintaining trackers, and reporting progress to the Licensing Lead and Director. This is a full-time, on-site position in Torrance, CA, with ownership and growth opportunities in a fast‑growing energy

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, or related field.
• 7+ years of project experience in engineering, licensing, construction, or operations, including 5+ years in nuclear.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the licensing project schedule, including document gestation periods and review cycles.
• Run the project workflow with single-point assignment of items and active review/approval steps.
• Maintain comment resolution and commitment trackers; ensure all sources are tracked.
• Coordinate inputs across engineering, operations and program owners; specify required inputs and deadlines.
• Assemble and control submittal packages; verify completeness before transmittal.
• Report progress, risks, and corrective actions to the Project Licensing Lead and Director of Licensing.
• Maintain the project’s reference library and baseline documents.
