Job summary

SHINE Technologies, LLC is seeking a Licensing Engineer to support NRC licensing reviews, coordinate inspections, and prepare permit applications for regulatory agencies. The role involves working with a cross-disciplinary team to license SHINE’s commercial and R&D activities, including the SHINE medical isotope production facility.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field (or equivalent experience) and familiarity with CFRs and regulatory guidance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field is required.
  • Experience in nuclear licensing or comparable regulatory field is required.
  • Familiarity with 10 CFR and related regulatory guidance is expected.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat Pro is required.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the licensing basis of SHINE’s licensed activities, including Safety Analysis Reports.
  • Coordinate with technical personnel to ensure licensing basis alignment with design changes.
  • Coordinate NRC construction inspections, including pre-inspection assessments and responses.
  • Oversee vendor deliverables to meet regulatory, quality, and schedule objectives.
  • Prepare and review licensing correspondence to regulatory agencies.
