Job summary

Framatome is seeking a laboratory analyst in Lynchburg, Virginia. The role focuses on executing physical, chemical, and radiographic analyses on materials using a variety of laboratory instruments, following SOPs, and ensuring data integrity.

You will manage samples, input data into the LIMS, calibrate equipment, and troubleshoot complex test systems. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma with chemistry coursework, at least five years of related experience, and strong communication

Qualifications

• High School diploma including Chemistry is required
• Minimum 5 years of related experience
• Advanced knowledge of laboratory instruments and equipment
• Proficiency in Lab Information Management (LIMS)
• Excellent communication to convey detailed technical data

Responsibilities

• Follow SOPs and operator aids to ensure quality results
• Receive samples and input data into the system database
• Perform physical/chemical/radiographic analysis on materials using lab equipment
• Prepare and analyze samples per documented procedures
• Maintain, calibrate and operate laboratory equipment
• Troubleshoot complex test machines and equipment
• Dispose of samples and waste per safety procedures
• Prioritize samples and communicate status to manager and customers
