TITLE: Nuclear Instructional Technologist

LOCATION: Remote

EMPLOYMENT TYPE: 12 month contract; strong possibility of extension

PAY RANGE: $62-80hr. W2 *Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

We are seeking a Nuclear Instructional Technologist that will heavily be focused on the development of training programs and training materials for nuclear reactors! This fully remote role is with our innovative nuclear energy client whose mission is nothing short of transforming—and helping save—the world through clean energy innovation.

  • Development of the programs, processes, and procedures necessary for establishing and running all plant training.
  • Develop training processes, programs, and procedures for a newly developed training department, ensuring compliance with company standards, NRC regulations, INPO accreditation criteria, and other codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and execute a strategy for training program initial accreditation.
  • Use the Systematic Approach to Training to develop and reinforce standards for new, high-quality training curriculum for plant personnel.
  • Reinforce design of reliable and valid trainee examination material and trainee evaluations for classroom, laboratory, OJT, and simulator environments, as appropriate.
  • Prepare processes for training performance evaluations, trainee counseling sessions, and individualized training programs.
  • Educate and reinforce incorporation of information gained from INPO Significant Operating Experience Reports, NRC Circulars, Bulletins, and Information Notices, plant design changes, plant procedure changes and revisions, new regulations, and training effectiveness reports into the training program and various training material.
  • Prepares for and participates in NRC inspections, INPO evaluations and visits and management audits, and prepares responses.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of plant design, plant operations, disciplinary skills and techniques, commensurate with the responsibility to develop effective training.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Nuclear Instructional Technologist experience.
  • Proficient with SAT / ADDIE processes.
  • Extremely knowledgeable of NRC regulations and INPO accreditation criteria
  • Mastery of digital training content development and delivery.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent technical writing, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Attention to detail and aspiration for training excellence.
