Job summary

BWX Technologies, Inc. in Jonesborough, Tennessee seeks an Operations Technician on 2nd/3rd shift to support the Manufacturing Operations Supervisor. You will operate diverse equipment, read blueprints, collect SPC data and ensure part traceability in a multi-shift environment.

The role requires 10+ hour shifts, overtime and weekend work as needed. Competitive benefits and a role within a federal contractor are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 4+ years of experience or an associate degree with 0–2 years in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to interface effectively within Operations and with Maintenance, Quality and Engineering.
• Team player and able to work 10+ hours per shift and any shift (1st/2nd/3rd).
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends to support production.

Responsibilities

• Operate and set up machinery and shop equipment (lathes, presses, mills, furnaces, etc.).
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and inspection data.
• Perform SPC data collection, analysis and reporting.
• Maintain production records and traceability of parts.
