Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in nuclear fuels.
• Experience leading technical teams and managing complex engineering or manufacturing programs.
• Strong understanding of materials processing, manufacturing scale-up, supplier management, and quality assurance in highly regulated environments.
• Demonstrated ability to work across multidisciplinary organizations and influence technical and business decisions.
• Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

Responsibilities

• Act as the technical owner for fuel components from raw material processing through final fuel assembly production.
• Lead the development and maturation of fuel manufacturing processes from pilot-scale activities through commercial deployment.
• Build and develop a high-performing technical team supporting fuel fabrication, materials processing, quality, and manufacturing operations.
• Provide oversight for the design, construction, commissioning, and operational readiness of a new fuel manufacturing facility.
• Partner with engineering, licensing, operations, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure alignment across manufacturing programs.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Averro is seeking a Fuels Fabrication Manager for our most valued nuclear energy clients! This is a direct-hire opportunity to join a growing Nuclear Fuels Supply organization, where you will play a key role in driving fuel manufacturing initiatives and supporting the successful deployment of next-generation nuclear technologies. This leadership role will oversee critical activities related to nuclear fuel fabrication, including the development of a new fuel manufacturing facility, and oversee fuel fabrication operations.

Must possess a strong background in nuclear fuels along with proven leadership experience. This is a rare opportunity to help build a next-generation fuel manufacturing organization from the ground up while contributing to one of the most significant growth areas within the nuclear industry.

• Strong understanding of materials processing, manufacturing scale-up, supplier management, and quality assurance in highly regulated environments.

• Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Advanced degrees and leadership experience within fuel fabrication, materials development, or nuclear manufacturing environments are highly valued.
