Qualifications

Job Description

As a Nuclear FEP, you will,

  • Actively engage in a 2-year rotational program to participate on a variety of outage teams and enhance core leadership and technical skills.
  • Successfully complete curriculum including virtual, classroom and hands‑on training at the GVH Services Training Facilities in Wilmington, NC and San Jose, CA.
  • Perform on‑site reactor services of systems and equipment during plant outages.
  • Maintain strong safety mindset to assure the executed work reflects the technical requirements within GE safety standards.
  • Receive technical training, mentorship, and coaching from world‑class technologists and experienced technical managers.
  • Participate in development training and networking with business leadership and other development program members.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering or technical discipline from an accredited university or college (engineering technology degrees accepted).
  • Overall GPA greater than or equal to 3.0 / 4.0.
  • Relocation to Wilmington, NC is required.
Additional Eligibility Requirements
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 70% to domestic plant sites.
  • Ability and willingness to work 12 hours/day, shifts, and 7 days/week when needed for project delivery.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude is required. Must be able to read and understand equipment manuals, procedures, and work instructions.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to climb 10 flights of stairs twice per day.
  • Ability to pass respirator fit test and physical.
  • Ability to pass Fitness for Duty requirements and site security requirements to obtain unescorted access.
  • Ability to work under high stress conditions
  • Ability and willingness to work in radiation‑controlled areas and radioactively contaminated areas

Where you will land in 2 years

After the program, you will have a solid foundation of working in and leading teams during a reactor outage. As an Outage Services Field Engineer, you will apply your technical expertise to strengthen the existing fleet of nuclear reactors. You might be leading teams on the Refuel Floor, Under Vessel, working in the Inspection Services group or mastering/modifying tools as part of these product lines.

Additional Notes: Employees with a permanent address more than 50 miles away from the work location are eligible for a relocation package upon joining GE Vernova.

This role requires access to U.S. export‑controlled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export‑controlled information from the U.S. Government.

Relocation Assistance Provided: Yes

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $63,600.00 and $95,500.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.

Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
